Dania Beach city is located in Broward County close to Fort Lauderdale International Airport . It is Broward´s first city and was incorporated in 1904.Dania got its name since it was a Danish settlement at the end of the nineteenth century. Its settlers named it Dania, because they were Danes who had come from Chicago and Wisconsin . Its developer, W.C. Valentine had originally called it Modello A.C. Frost built the fist house and general store and became Modello´s first postmaster. Today one of Dania´s parks is named Frost.
